​ Mount Lassen Camp WINTER Update 2023

Hello Northern California and friends of Mt. Lassen Assemblies of God Camp and Conference Grounds.

Mt. Lassen Assemblies of God Camp and Christian Conference Grounds has played a vital role in nurturing faith, building community in fellowship, and fostering personal development for generations resulting in exponentially diverse ministry (countless full time ministers and missionaries) around the world as well as in many of our local churches in Northern California and elsewhere. As we move forward, I am committed to preserving and enhancing these core values.

1. ​Spiritual Growth: Our primary mission is to provide a space where individuals can deepen their spiritual connection with The Lord. I have often heard comments along the lines of, "this place is just so special",  as visitors exit their vehicles on the camp grounds. If, indeed, The Spirit seems to have any affinity with physical locations here on Earth, this is would have to be considered one of those places.
2. Community Building: In addition to building connection within local churches, youth groups and fellowship circles, Mt. Lassen Assemblies of God Camp and Conference Grounds is a community in and of itself with a long and blessed history. I will work diligently to strengthen our bonds, engage our supporters, and expand our reach to make our Camp community even more vibrant and supportive. We have traveled our Assemblies of God AGNCN district throughout the winter and enjoyed renewing relationships with several of our local churches.
3. ​Sustainability: We must be good stewards of the land and resources that have been entrusted to us. Our Camp Board and Leadership has faced significant challenges in recent years with inflating facility and food costs that must be addressed on a regular basis. While it is a ministry and not a "for profit" endeavor, we must be vigilant in monitoring both expenses and rates charged for services to remain soverign and viable for future generations until He Returns. We all know from buying a dozen eggs to putting fuel in the car to go and get them, budgets must be monitored faithfully in today's economy.  We as the Camp Board are committed to implementing affordable events while still ensuring the long-term sustainability and financial stability of our facilities. 
4. Program Excellence: Our programs are at the heart of our mission. I will work closely with our staff and volunteers to enhance existing programs and develop new ones that inspire, educate, and empower with a primary focus of making every event an opportunity to connect with The Lord in the fullness of His Spirit.

Together, we can continue to make Mt. Lassen Assemblies of God Camp and Christian Conference Grounds a place of inspiration, transformation, and community "Till He Comes".  Thank you for your support and prayers and for sharing our vision. I look forward to meeting and working alongside all of you in the coming months.
