Season of Change - Postponement of 2022 Camp Spring/Summer Season
In April, we take a full month to rally volunteers and staff to open the grounds for Spring and Summer operations. This is a labor of love and a physically challenging task. Working through cuts, scrapes, tired muscles and the typical 12 to 16 hour day... our volunteers and staff work tirelessly 6 to 7 days a week... to get the grounds open and ready.
It takes an army and it takes commitment.
When the first camps arrive, we want this facility to be operational, safe and ready for them to experience God in a great way!
In 2022, we are rounding a new corner in the legacy of this camp. After evaluating some of the hurdles we were to face in getting us up and running - we have decided to postpone our 2022 Spring / Summer Year opening... so that we can continue to modernize these grounds and bring you the very best this mountain has to offer! This means we will also not be having a 2022 Family Camp this year.
What can you expect from us? Continued social media and blog announcements detailing the exciting projects we're tackling this year... and possibly some surprise events to come!
What are we doing? Last year, we completely replaced and installed a new water system for the camp. Gone are the days of "Cold Showers" and "Low Water Pressure". That's a thing of the past! THIS YEAR, we're putting in new septic and electrical... support for larger RV's and more RV Spaces that are clearly defined!
How can you get involved? We have a ton of minor projects too - and these will be announced through the Season.
Continue to pray with us as we embark on this endeavor. Building a better camp, to stand the test of time, while we wait for the Lord's return. We promise in 2023 you'll see some amazing improvements as we navigate this Season of Change.
